To present a comprehensive analysis of the potential impact of Unlockit, a blockchain-based platform, on the Portuguese real estate market, this thesis explores the particularities of the sector, highlighting the need for digital transformation to improve efficiency, transparency, and compliance in transactions.

The study investigates the use of blockchain and distributed ledger technologies (DLTs), analyzing models such as EBSS and CoSC, and discusses their implications for the real estate market. A proposed business model for Unlockit suggests a subscription-based service with transactional fees, adapted to the needs of the sector.

We concluded that Unlockit can have a lasting impact on real estate transactions in Portugal, despite challenges related to scalability and regulatory compliance, offering a model for global innovation in the market with a gradual approach.
